Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh my!

It appears as though nature is not a friend of our heroine lately. First she was drowning in water and now breaking news that a tornado has hit the Lion's den has emerged.

We last left off Lioness was drowning and it seemed like no one could save her. But just as the water was beginning to take over her lungs, her trustee sister Flapper the Dolphin sensed trouble and came rushing by to help her.

However she wasn't out of trouble for too long. A huge tornado has hit the luxurious den and although Lioness has tried to stay calm, the tornado is swirling outside. Thank g-d she has a few people around to keep her on her toes. So she put a front up as if everything is okay. She hid inside the a cave until the danger passed. She looked outside the opening of the cave to see the storm pass by, swirling around picking up random things on it's way. Making a horrible loud sound. Ugh, it's too much to take, so Lioness walks deeper into the cave to distract herself with other people. Thank g-d she has school to keep her mind off of it. In school she can talk to other people and look Flapper is there too for the ride.

UPDATE: The storm has subsided, and all the animals have been cleared to leave their hiding places. Little rabbits and moles pop out of their burrows. Birds, and squirrels come out of holes in trees. The dolphin, merlins, swordfish, and salmon swim up from the water in happy dances. The bears have come out of the forest and the deer are drinking water ever so freely.

How long will this bliss last?...For now the land is care-free-but deep down the animals know danger is always just around the corner, for there will always be a predatory eagle in the sky.

dre-ality

Oh no! Our heroine is drowning in the lake. Lions aren't natural born swimmers, Lioness is trying her best to imitate a doggy-paddle but water just seeps through her fingers. White ocean bubbles are dancing around her as she grows weaker. Lioness is falling into a downward spiral and she can't get out of it.

Earlier she was walking by the edge of the sun warmed yellow sand right near the pond when she was tempted to wash her dirty toes. It was only supposed to be a dip, but the water was so clear and quiet. It was tempting. Calling her name without saying a word, it was intriguing. She wavered her palm back and forth just under the surface of the water feeling the ripples tickling.

She smiled, 'my what fun!' she thought to herself.  It got even more fun when Lioness noticed her reflection in the water. She lowered her head closer to the water to get a better look at her own reflection. She even made a few bubbles.

She looked through the clear water and saw that way down below, a golden fish was sparkling and swimming really fast right by her, he looked worried. Lioness looked beyond him and saw that other fish in all different sizes and colors were chasing him.  But she didn't care about the other fish, she wanted to know what was so special about the golden fish. Lioness swam deeper inside.

She lost sight of the golden fish.

This brings us to the present. Out of energy, all of a sudden she feels like one might trying to run in a dream but is too weak...

Night Terrors "A sleep disorder characterized by high arousal and an appearance of being terrified, unlike nightmares, night terrors ...are seldom remembered."

Our heroine is staying in some summer house which appears to be Martha's Vineyard. She is in the courtyard when someone opens the back door and a big black dog walks in. Instead of attacking, this gentle giant jumps up on Lioness and licks and sniffs her ear. She feels his weight on her but isn't too sure what to do. She manages to get outside of the courtyard when his owner, a small, brunette, chunky, short, chipper, young woman smiles and gets him off. The two exchange a few words before Lioness decides the woman is annoying and won't talk anymore. The woman still has a smile on her face and the atmosphere is not bad. So Lioness and a few family members sit on a bench. Her teeny pet  mouse Nyla sits on her lap. Someone says something to Lioness which makes her jump up and Nyla takes off. Lioness immediately jumps up in order to look for her beloved angel. She walks to the front of the park, but to no avail. "She can't be far" Lioness thinks. She continues looking for her under benches but she sees other pets who look like her but clearly aren't her Nyla. So she walks out of the park and into a ship hoping maybe Nyla is hiding somewhere. She looks in a pile of clothes on the floor but she's not there either. Lioness suddenly notices Gertrude, her Giraffe elderly grandmother. Gertrude is cooking something in her kitchen and Lioness tells her that she's missing Nyla and if she sees her please let her know. But unfortuneltely Gertrude had not see Nyla so instead Lioness says she'll inform Gertrude once she finds her (if she finds her). But Nyla can't be far away can she? She just left?

Lioness heads back to the park where she gets on a carousel hoping to get a better 360* veiw of the park. She begins to cry. 'Where could she be'? She gets off the spinning carousel and looks under a bench near the entrance of the park where the similar pets were. There under the bench, lying in a ball position, among a few bigger pets is Nyla, maybe a bit shaken but in one piece and fine. Lioness picks her up and heads back to  Gertrude, informing her that she found Nyla.

Small Theater

Lioness is sitting in a comfortable dim lighted theater. It's seats are made of soft darker red velvet. It's cozy and filled with people. The stage isn't the main focus. sitting beside Lioness is an old friend, whom Lioness doesn't speak to anymore (more on that later), named Babar. Babar and Lioness  laugh at something funny Babar said while waiting for the show to start.  Suddenly Lioness's heart skips a beat. She notices that a few rows in front of her sits an old flame named, Snakelet.

The story of Snakelet begins way before this trip to the theater. You see Snakelet used to be a good friend of Lioness, or so she thought. Until one day she realized that Snakelet was hanging out with bitches and bees and never Lionesss;-) (pun intended). One day, Lioness got the courage to  test Snakelet's friendship by asking him not to speak to her anymore. To her dismay, Snakelet decided that he could very easily do this and didn't even bother to put up a fight like what a real king would.

But back to our predicament. Lioness decided to call for back up, so she looked for her loyal sister, named Flapper. Flapper is a kind hearted, at times brutally honest creature who wouldn't hurt a fly. While she conversed with Flapper, she grabbed her wrist so that Flapper could block her from Snakelet's view.  For a few seconds it seemed to be working, but just suddenly, Snakelet was now looking directly at Lioness. As her heart beat was now loud enough to hear, she flinched to the side but before she could say anything, everyone sat down and the show began.

Lioness was staring straight ahead until she noticed a huge bald spot on Snakelet. Weird she thought, "I didn't think he had a flaw". Snakelet started looking very human all of a sudden and Lioness was a little repulsed. But do not confuse Lioness's repulsion with an attitude problem, for Lioness was only finally awakening to see the real Snakelet and his antics. All of a sudden she realized that Snakelet was not only imperfect, but he was also missing something in life. Whatever it was, he could never give it to Lioness.

Her head was telling her to move on, and she understood that. However, "to what, and how?" would be the following questions she didn't have an answer to yet. It may have just been a sign, or it could have meant nothing at all...

A Warm Welcome

Welcome to the Lionetpaw blog. This blog is based both on truth and fiction. Lionetpaw is a depiction of dreams. Our heroine, Lioness, does her utmost best to describe and articulate her dreams as accurately as possible. For when she sleeps, her dreams are amalgamations of tiny thoughts, occurrences, and inspirations from real life events. It is up to you to decide where fiction ends and truth begins. Of course our heroine wouldn't be a catalyst if she wasn't so kind and brave as to try and answer questions, so feel free to ask. And while some characters are more vulnerable than others, it has been decided on alternative names.

  Good Luck :)
