Small Theater
Lioness is sitting in a comfortable dim lighted theater. It's seats are made of soft darker red velvet. It's cozy and filled with people. The stage isn't the main focus. sitting beside Lioness is an old friend, whom Lioness doesn't speak to anymore (more on that later), named Babar. Babar and Lioness laugh at something funny Babar said while waiting for the show to start. Suddenly Lioness's heart skips a beat. She notices that a few rows in front of her sits an old flame named, Snakelet.
The story of Snakelet begins way before this trip to the theater. You see Snakelet used to be a good friend of Lioness, or so she thought. Until one day she realized that Snakelet was hanging out with bitches and bees and never Lionesss;-) (pun intended). One day, Lioness got the courage to test Snakelet's friendship by asking him not to speak to her anymore. To her dismay, Snakelet decided that he could very easily do this and didn't even bother to put up a fight like what a real king would.
But back to our predicament. Lioness decided to call for back up, so she looked for her loyal sister, named Flapper. Flapper is a kind hearted, at times brutally honest creature who wouldn't hurt a fly. While she conversed with Flapper, she grabbed her wrist so that Flapper could block her from Snakelet's view. For a few seconds it seemed to be working, but just suddenly, Snakelet was now looking directly at Lioness. As her heart beat was now loud enough to hear, she flinched to the side but before she could say anything, everyone sat down and the show began.
Lioness was staring straight ahead until she noticed a huge bald spot on Snakelet. Weird she thought, "I didn't think he had a flaw". Snakelet started looking very human all of a sudden and Lioness was a little repulsed. But do not confuse Lioness's repulsion with an attitude problem, for Lioness was only finally awakening to see the real Snakelet and his antics. All of a sudden she realized that Snakelet was not only imperfect, but he was also missing something in life. Whatever it was, he could never give it to Lioness.
Her head was telling her to move on, and she understood that. However, "to what, and how?" would be the following questions she didn't have an answer to yet. It may have just been a sign, or it could have meant nothing at all...
