"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." -Hans Christian Anderson

Lioness followed her pet, Nyla the Mouse, outside on a walk. Nyla was playing with other little mice, Lioness found something a few yards away. While others members of the island were talking to each other, Lioness went to give Nyla a kiss. Nyla was standing in front of a tree and when Lioness looked at what she was looking at she realized it was a butterfly in a cocoon. 'Odd' she thought to herself. I wonder what it's like to be that caterpillar. Safe in it's cocoon yet unaware of the world. Will the world hurt it? Is the world really scary and is it just better to be in that safe cocoon? How long can it last like that with out developing. Is developing into a butterfly a painful, scary process? ...Is that caterpillar even aware of the change when it happens? I wonder how it feels, since it has no one to help him through it. Does he ever just want to stay secluded? Because most butterflies prefer to be incubated and fly off into the world at some point.

But what Lioness was obviously really thinking was, "Is it safe for me, to fly out of my cocoon." Her little safe place which was dark and comforting, but at the same time energy drenching. It sucked the life out of her and it only left her sad and tired all the time. It feed her anxiety. However, strangely enough, it was such a long time since she had felt anything else that she grew to be familiar with this dark corner of her Island.
