Rockets are flying, people are taking shelter in large arenas. Inside Lioness's family den rockets are swirling around. In the larger complex den people are struck and killed by the rockets. Lioness and Flapper are trying to escape by going to the restroom, and the rockets are easily going through the walls like butter. One almost hit Lioness in the stomach, she even tried to put her hands on her stomach in anticipation for the pain, but Flapper saved her again and swung the bathroom door causing a barricade between Lioness and the Rocket which stopped just inches away from her stomach.
They survived the night. But the next day was filled with anticipation of what was to come next. Does the arena even have a shelter? Does anyone know? Lioness tried to ask the receptionist.
Thank g-d that the enemy country had a national holiday and so the rocketing stopped for the day. Although the red cross was still removing bodies. What chaos. Lioness couldn't handle another night of such stress.
It appears as though The Island, and the enemy Island reached a treaty.
At the lobby of the Arena people came up to Lioness and her parents, the Bear and the Penguin. They kissed Lioness and her parents on the cheek and greeted them warmly. The guests included a middle aged male, his wife, and their daughters, one of whom was Lioness's age. For a second it seemed as though Bear and Penguin did not recognize these people but after a few seconds remembered who they were and were talking to them. As Lioness and her Penguin mother walked a few steps ahead towards the elevator, Lioness asked "who are these people?" her mother was starting to say that it was a far aunt and was cut off but it was enough for Lioness to realize that it was some far off family relatives.
The guests daughter wanted to go shopping with Lioness and asked if she can show her around. Lioness agreed and they reached a known make-up store. However, as everyone was entering, Lioness found it quite difficult to get through the small silver wires. 'Strange how everyone can pass besides me ' thought Lioness. She got so frustrated that she couldn't figure out how to pass though the small silver wires. A woman with her babies who was sitting next to the bleachers right at the entrance (that were attached to the silver wires) tried to help Lioness and chuckled because she didn't understand why she couldn't pass through.
Lioness became sadder and more frustrated. Until she remembered that she had her keys with her. She decided to cut the silver wires which turned out to be a much simpler task than she had expected.
Peaceful outcome...or maybe I just fell asleep with the news on again.
